Most of us know that the light-emitting diode (LED) is one of today’s most energy-efficient and rapidly-developing lighting technologies.
Is it worth your money? Absolutely yes! Here are the reasons as to compared to their less efficient alternatives:
1. Quality LED light bulbs last longer, are more durable, and offer comparable or better light quality than other lighting types.
2. It requires less electricity to power than traditional incandescent and halogen light bulbs and energy-efficient light bulbs (CFLs).
3. They use up to 90% less power than incandescent light bulbs.
4. It has a lifespan of up to 60,000 hours as opposed to the 1,500 hours typical of incandescent bulbs. A great LED light can last over seven years of constant use before needing a replacement.
5. LED lights are sturdy! Thanks to the materials they’re made of. It is a tiny chip exemplified in an epoxy plant enclosure, making LEDs far sturdier than traditional incandescent bulbs or neon tubes.
6. It is made of non-toxic materials, unlike neon lighting that uses mercury to pose a danger to the environment. LEDs are recyclable and also considered “green,” or earth-friendly.
7. It offered a variety of base colors, such as red, blue, and amber. Since traditional incandescent bulbs use filters to produce colors, their color accuracy, variation and brightness is not as good. LEDs can be mixed to make large numbers of color options.
